Strangers Again
05/02/2026
Dear Stranger,
The moment that I spoke to you is a moment that I will never forget. I am constantly enamoured with the idea that I would have never crossed paths with any of you prior to this project. Photography propels me to reach out & make connections with the unknown, to recognize a chance to turn a stranger on the street into something more. We begin as strangers to each other, fated to be in the same place at the same time, until we decide to share pieces of ourselves letting the rest of the world go silent.
Each interaction & each conversation has an impact on me. From discussing where I grew up in Arizona to my life story, to “the two crazy ladies on the Central Park rocks,” as they called themselves, to meeting an aspiring model outside of Alexander McQueen, to an employee of Conde Nast giving me career tips about my work trajectory as a photographer, these strangers are now a part of me & my experience in New York. Thank you for being so much more than just a passerby.
I will continue to carry these moments forever.
Until we meet once more,
Let us now become “Strangers Again.”
